Persecuted or Prosecuted? |
|
It’s amazing how the challenged tithe preacher all of a sudden becomes the persecuted pastor. ‘O my I am in heavy spiritual warfare, the enemy is on the attack and I am his target,’ all this because his tithe preaching and his use of the fraudulently obtained moneys are questioned. There is a big difference between the persecuted and the prosecuted. See 1Pet.2:20, there is a distinct difference between the two. The prosecuted is bearing the consequences of his own guilt; a deceptive life has caught up with him. The persecuted is suffering for the sake of Christ.
When the tithe preacher is challenged concerning his tithe doctrinal err it has nothing to do with persecution. It is really about the question, 'is the tithe preacher humble enough to own up to the truth and repent from his false doctrine?' When a tithe preacher takes moneys from an old lady to go on an exotic Mediterranean cruise it will eventually be questioned. When missionary funds are used to fund a family Indonesia surf trip that comes complete with a 7 day boat trip to rare surf breaks, a Surfing Indo T-Shirt and a banquet at Hard-Rock Café Bali... I’m sorry but this doesn't sound like missions moneys spent properly. It does, however, jive consistently with funds procured with a deceptive tithe doctrine being used in deceptive manners. Deceit surrounds the tithe preacher, it is his pathway to money, power and privilege. Throwing up the shield of ‘I’m so persecuted’ is a distraction to the real issue of truth.
